April Hurley, M.Ed., BCBA

My name is April Hurley. I am a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. I have been working with children of all abilities for the last 10 years in several different capacities. I have my bachelors in Health Service Administration and managed several different medical offices. My love for children brought me back to school to get master’s degree in Education emphasizing in Applied Behavior Analysis. In 2012, I began working in the field of ABA as a registered behavior technician and then went on to obtain my BCBA in 2017. For the past few years I worked for a private therapy practice as a clinical coordinator managing the day to day operations of the facility and as a BCBA providing ABA services. As a BCBA, I have worked with serving my clients in the clinical, home, community, and school settings. In each setting, I have worked alongside families, speech therapist, and occupational therapist in a collaborative effort to help their kiddo succeed. I have worked with children ranging from two years old through eighteen and provided assistance with their child in decreasing severe aggression, elopement, property destruction, and self-injurious behaviors by utilizing positive reinforcement, adaptive behavior training, communication training, positive social interactions and skill acquisitions. Additionally, I have worked with speech therapist to create feeding programs utilizing ABA principles.
